I was first elected on June 5, 2018 to the Torrance City Council serving At-Large and elected in the City's Inaugural District Election as Torrance City District 2 Councilman on March 3, 2020
  • Deliberated on all Council items based balanced evaluation of data and values, including during the COVID-19 Pandemic
  • Actively participated in events of the City and understand the intricacies and interdependencies in policy making
I am a creative thinker with a vision and I have the passion and proven capability to execute plans/visions based on my experience as a senior program manager at Raytheon and as a City Councilman

Professionally, I have been an influential leader as a program manager for Raytheon Company before retiring in July 2017
  • I’m experienced in leading/managing large and complex high-value programs within budget,  to schedule, and to required performance
  • I am able to discern various trade studies based on my engineering background determine which options will most likely provide the best value for the city. Leveraging of this experience have been proven since my election to the City Council
  • Led Advanced Development for Naval Aviation future capabilities professionally and have leveraged the experience serving in Torrance City Council since the June 2018 Election
  • This industry programmatic experience managing complex programs was proven to be transferable into deliberating on civic issues, programs, or challenges and ensuring that the city be financially healthy

Having worked in industry where we utilized the strengths of  teams with various types of skillsets, I will accentuate the integrated team in Torrance to shape our future for a vibrant tomorrow. As a Councilman, I will continue to collaborate with other agencies where we can mutually develop "win win" opportunities
  • Worked with USA Water Polo and TUSD to explore hosting events at the TUSD Aquatics Center and training future local Olympians through competitions hosted at the TUSD Aquatics Center.
    • USA Men's Water Polo Team was training at the TUSD Aquatics Center preparing for 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic Games (subsequently canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic).
    • Initiated the meeting with LA Galaxy which resulted in them signing a new 7-Year lease of the former Toyota Sports Complex, now called the LA Galaxy Sports Complex.
  • Standing up our local Health Department
  • Adding more international "Sister or Friendship City" relationships
  • Standing up a regional approach to managing urban coyotes including trapping
